max_wood
Does anyone know how to acheive the sort of effect synonymous with the photography 0f Jeurgen teller etc. His photographs have a certain aged quality to them, almost like they were taken maybe in the 60's with an old camera. A similar sort of quality that you would perhaps achieve with a cine camera. Would it be filters, or the printing process, or the camera itself. Any ideas welcome. Thanks!<div></div>
beauh44
Hi Max, It looks like you could get most of the way there by desaturating quite a bit in Photoshop. There's very little color left in the image, and as you point out it looks a bit like a faded color photograph that's 30 years old. Color film wasn't terribly saturated back then anyway. You might need to play with the color balance a little as well. Good luck!
tony_black1
well he shoots with point and shoot contax cameras with using the pop up flashes of the cameras. nothing special about the technique. his context of his photographs makes him famous or whatever.
