Digital camera takes Leica lenses?

A while ago there was a discussin about a third party digital camera

that takes Leica M lenses. Which camera is that and is there more info

about it?

Graham, not sure if you meant that the original poster should Google for the R-D1 (good

choice) or you meant for the poster to have googled for the answer.

 

Sorry but for me it is pet peeve when people say something along the lines of "do a

search". As a point of reference doing a search on the terms of "digital camera Leica M

lenses" would not have led to the R-D1 on the first page of results.

 

I am sure you were trying to be more positive than what I took your response being.

 

IIRC we are supposed to hear next year at Photokina about the Leica Digital M. Some are

talking about rumors of an R-D2 next year also.

well, just to be accurate...

doing a Goggle search with "digital camera Leica M lenses" DOES return an answer of the RD-1 on the first page (actually the second referenced web page).

Well then it sounds like the problem is on your end, and I wonder why you posted. I don't read his response as meaning anything other than Mike can google for the Epson camera.
