dxphoto
Ok, thinking of getting a real rangefinder. i have a G1. Do you guys think it would be wise to spend money on an bessa R or R2a/r3a? Thanks.
kim yee
Get the Bessa R3A, the viewfinder is pretty good. 1:1 is really is easy to use.

al_kaplan1
Get one with an M mount like the R2a/R3a. You can use thread mount lenses with an adapter, but not the other way.
torben_daltoft
Didn't Mr. Kaplan turn it upside-down??

raymond_tai
I hate all these crappy plasticky Bessa Leica wanna be's but the R3A changed my mind. I have one and really like it. The 1:1 finder is nice and bright but have no framelines for 35mm or wider. The R2A is pretty much the same but has framelines for 35mm. So get which ever one depends on your lens of choice. roger_hicks1
Crappy plasticky? Hardly. My favourite is the R2 -- and I have an R3A as well (and T and R2C...). I'd go for an R2A rather than an R3A if you use 35mm lenses, though. Cheers, Roger
nasmformyzombie
Roger, How is it you prefer the R2? More plastic?
roger_hicks1
I don't actually see 'more plastic'. Where is it supposed to be? Yes, the early cameras had a plastic back door. Later ones don't. Actually, what I like about the R2 is zero battery dependency except for the meter. Frances and I have been using one (fairly hard) since it came out: no problems so far.
