michael_trombetta
I have a Leica D.R.P. camera serial number 330559. I t has probably been used a handful of times and has been in a box in my bedroom for years. I inherited it from my Father after he came back from the war in 1945. I t has no dings or dents and has a camera lens only writing on camera lens is the following: 'Ernest Leitz Wetzlar' then it has, 'Summitar f=5 cm 1:2 No'. I'm including some photos, I apologize in advance of the poor imagery. Also the only thing wrong with it is when the film is in it it has some problems advancing. Took it to a camera shop and they told me it 'Probably needs a good cleaning'. Had it looked at by other photo experts and they are amazed at the overall condition. Anyway here ya go..Any help in distinguishing it's net worth and how best to get it repaired would be greatly appreciated.

erikhaugsby
You sir have yourself a 1939 Leica iii and its matched 50mm lens.
the bay has a few going for ~$400 in good condition. Yours, as described, would need a quality CLA to fix the wind advance; whether this is done by you or not will directly affect the selling price. todd_k.
Your obsolete film camera is worth nothing. But because it is you, I will take it off of your hands of $50. ;-)
tom5
I suggest sending the camera to John Maddox or Don Goldberg, if you are in the US. You can find their addresses and phone numbers by searching on the web. Both do an excellent job on screw mount Leicas and are polite and efficient. greg lockrey
Too bad you couldn't have used the camera to take the picture, it would've been a lot sharper ;-)
jd_rose
Indeed. I must agree. That is a worthless camera worthy of nobody's attention. However, I am feeling generous; please forward the camera to me and I will reward you with $75 USD AND a modern digital DX7630, with the german lens, instamatic. No kidding.
