dan_owen
Has anyone found a good way of connecting and transferring pictures to a computer wirelessly? I have seen a bluetooth CF card- will this do it?
jimstrutz
I don't think the bluetooth CF card will work. How about wiring it to a small laptop with the included Canon software, and using wireless to network it to another computer. Or buy a Canon 5D with it's wireless capability built in. You want to buy one anyway, here's your excuse.
danny_s1
Good, but not cheap. Canon WFT-E1 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=365948&is=REG
lotsawa
Danny, I don't own a 20D, but I don't think the 20D is made for that. I remember a couple of months ago someone here in the forum was looking for wireless transfer with a 10D or so. What you would need is something like a "wireless USB cable". Googling for it I found a company who claimed they were developing it. Don't know if it ever became reality.
lotsawa
Sorry Danny, I was wrong. The WFT-E1 seems to work with the 20D since firmware 2.
rodney_gold1
The wireless transmitter for the canon is a very expensive item , $1k or so. What exactly do you want to accomplish here , there might be another cheaper workaround?

douglas_price
not when they can sell you wireless as an add-on for $1000
jimstrutz
<I>"Or buy a Canon 5D with it's wireless capability built in"</I> <P> BTW, I didn't mean to imply that the 5D's wireless capability didn't require Canon's optional equipment, but that it had the capability to use it. What I didn't know was that with the new firmware the 20D has the same capability. $1000 is a bit too much for me though.
