oq
Hey, Just replaced my stationary PC with a powerbook and just ran into aproblem. I have a screen attached to the PB wich I'm calibrating usinglacie's blue eye colorimeter. What I'm wondering is, is it possible to also calibrate the PB screenwith the same blue eye? How? The software doesn't give me any answersand I'm quite new to the macintosh environment (I got the pb fourhours ago) so I can't find any answers there either.I've seen people running two calibrated screens side by side, but isit possible with a PB monitor and a 319, using the blue eye 2colorimeter? Thanks /Fred
reginapagles
Hey Fred, I am certainly no expert on this subject, but I did just calibrate my Lacie Electron Blue (which is the external display that I use for my Mac Powerbook) with an EyeOne Calibrator by GretagMacbeth. The instructions stated that you could only calibrate one display per computer video card. They suggested choosing the display that is used most for color intensive work. I chose to calibrate my external display (the Lacie) since I only use the Powerbook as a desktop replacement and rarely use its' display. Hope this may help. geoffrey goldberg
I'm also no expert, but I tried to calibrate my La Cie with an Imac, and kind of was told by La Cie that couldn't work. Of course, they were willing to tell me it would work, if I could pick the La Cie monitor from the computer to calibrate - but I couldn't turn off the primary screen (LCD) of the Imac. On the other hand, the PB should give you that option. Good luck - look into the Apple System Pref's for the monitors. It may be that the PB monitor can be turned off with an external monitor.
