david tejada
Can anyone tell me who has the best price on a D2X?
edwin_mendoza
Adorama quoted me one for about $4600. Check them out.
Ed_Ingold
Also B&H. Be careful of unbelievable bargains (i.e., <$4500), you'll end up paying separately for battery, charger, strap and the box they come in (if you ever see a camera at all). robert_fisher
David, I just unloaded two on EBay. Can not wait to begin shooting with film again.
scott_strohmeier
I bought mine from Ebay, from mycamera.com. They had an ebay auction, selling for 4449. They had a 99.1 rating. I got great service, and they ship on earliest business day.
lex_jenkins
Robert, it seemed like you were satisfied with your D2X recently. What happened? (I'm genuinely curious, there's no hidden agenda in this question.)
vivek iyer
Robert, Unloaded 2 D2X to go for the MF? Are you also thinking of going for the digital back on the Rollei?
armando_roldan
Two DX2 got sold off on ebay by the same person? Why didn't you buy one and check it out before you spent nearly $10,000 for two camera you were dissatisfied with? I sold off my D70 about 9 months after I bought for a few reasons. One the viewfinder issue, frames per second and mounting stories posted here about D70 camera breaking down as they neared one year worth of use. David...if your going to spend nearly $5000 for camera, don't risk bad service, conmen or overly priced shipping charges from cut rate "dealers" ( 5% to 6% of total cost making a $4000 camera cost $240 to ship via UPS ground?) just to save few bucks. Either stick to major dealers listed or local camera stores and get personalized service.....if you can afford a D2x, you can't afford to pinch pennies. calvin_lee
I paid $4500 for my D2x from Cameta Camera via their ebay auction. Shipping was free & I received it in 2 days via UPS. I also purchased my F5 and Coolscan 9000 Film Scanner from them without any problems.
cooper8168
I second Cameta. Though I use B&H for 90% of my needs, Cameta has been great for my big- ticket purchases. I've bought a D2X and numerous lenses from them over the years with no problems. The only negative is that Cameta will not refund your money in the event you want to return something. You can make exhanges up to two weeks after your purchase. If you need to return something to B&H, you get back your dough.
