andrew_buckley1 Posted September 9, 2005 Share Posted September 9, 2005 Would recommend trying to get hold of this online...unfortunately some of the 'pro' stores in the UK tend to add a premium to usual high street/web prices and are therefore very close to UK SRP...suspects include LCE Soton and also the aforementioned York cameras, both of whom I have used before but I would not recommend York for their surely and arrogant attitude. On the other hand Tony at LCE Soton is extremely helpful and I believe that they may price match from advertised prices. I have had the same experience in both Germany and Holland. I was told that a store called foto Talens (www.talensfoto.nl) has it on stock for abt. ? 700. They have several left in their warehouses. Don't forget there is ?70 cashback on this lens from Canon so I paid the same as 7day. Thinking about it, that's why there's no L lenses about so they don't have to give any cash back. Mick...... They have several left in their warehouses" There are three Talens stores in Delft. I've spoken with the salespeople and their price is 799 Euro. Too expensive, so I didn't ask them if the had the lens in store. I'm trying to get the lens for 649-669 Euro. Big difference. But I'll be in town tomorrow and I'll ask them about it.
