My new ND Grads from Hitech

Just got my new set of Hitech ND grads from BH Video. Two of the

filters are kinda, what would you call it, warped (kida bent).

Anyone else have this problem with any Coking style filters?

I've custom-ordered Cokin-P-size HiTech filters from B&H and not had any problems. If

you believe the filters to be substandard, don't be shy about returning them for a

refund or replacement.

Called Hitech direct and they told me to mail directly to them. The guy also told me if I went back through BH it would create more paper work for all parties and I would not get new filters for a few days. Bad part about this deal is I'm leaving for The Eastern Sierra for a week. One of the filters is not all that warped, you think it will hinder my photos?

I couldn't say, sorry. If the HiTech people stand behind their gear it is great news.

Any filter that is not optically flat will cause distortion, even if you don't think you can see it in the viewfinder. Send them back to BH for a refund and replace with Cokin or whatever they have immediately availible.

Don't get a cokin unless you want nd filters with a magenta cast.
