andre_reinders
I was asked by a friend to take photos at his daughter's birthday party, in lieu of bringing a gift. My daughter (same age) was also invited to the party (yes the kids know each other well - we were first on the guest list!) In addition to the 3 rolls of 35mm shot through my Elan 7N, I of course brought the TLR. 1 roll of Agfa Optima 200 and 1 roll of Ilford XP2 Super. Eyeballed the exposure, and used my 135mm lens for these shots.<div></div>

lesged
Nicely done, Andre. The blond boy is straight out of Tom Sawyer. How did he get into the all girl party? Brother of birthday girl? Looks like good old fashion fun. Sure beats having the party at McDonalds.
grahams
Great shots, Andre. The colour is nice and punchy. I agree with Lester - back yard parties are great.

battra92
<i>"The blond boy is straight out of Tom Sawyer."</i><br /><br /> Those were my thoughts when I saw the photograph.<br /><br /> <i>"How did he get into the all girl party? Brother of birthday girl?"</i><br /><br /> When my sister had birthday parties with her friends (all girls) my brother and I weren't allowed to go as it was all girls. I don't know whether to say that kid is lucky or not. ~_^<br /><br /> <i>"Looks like good old fashion fun. Sure beats having the party at McDonalds."</i><br /><br /> I'd agree, though sometimes having a birthday party elsewhere (like the only one I had with friends was at a rolling skating rink) makes it easier on the parents.<br /><br />

mfophotos
Great kid shots. However, maybe you can get the mom to do more posing, too.
