paul h
Hi, does anyone know where to get a 40.5mm - 58mm step up ring. My lenses are 40.5 and I have the P series Cokin filter system and would like to use these filters on my 4X5. Cokin doesn't make a P-series in this filter thread size and I don't want to buy a set of A- series filters, B+H has one but it's too expensive to ship to Canada and I have tried a place called Fotodiox but they haven't replied to my e-mails. I don't want to go with two step up rings for risk of vignetting. Does anyone know of anywhere else that I may try to locate a ring in this size. Many thanks for your help. paul_e._cassidy
Paul I have found 40.5-49 and 40.5-52 but that's all. So I then step up from them to what I need. They were used from eBay auctions. I was going to say B+H because I have their new catalog and they list all sorts. Good Luck with your hunt, Paul

Monophoto
I was looking for a similar ring several years ago - without success. I ended up buying a cheap 40.5mm glass filter at a flea market. I removed the glass, and then expoxied the 40.5mm ring to a Cokin ring. Ain't pretty, but it works.

dmin-99
You can get a custom ring made by either B+W or Heliopan (nice brass rings). Contact Christoph Greiner if you can't get it ordered in the States. Otherwise you're probaly stuck with pairing-up 2 rings. http://www.greiner-photo.de/ I ordered dozens of Heliopan rings from him several years ago at 30%-50% of U.S. Prices. tom_keenan
Why isn't this as simple as a single 40.5-52 step-up ring and a Cokin P 52mm ring to mount the P holder on. Sounds very simple to me. Why the 58mm?
