kajabbi
I have just received the Leica Historical Society CD covering all the articals in The Viewfinder from 1968-2004(Volumes1-37. Have had time to browse through it. For those who collect or just want to augment their knowledge it is truly the best thing to come along. mark_theken
It is my understanding the the LHSA VIEWFINDER DVD will be mailed at no charge to anyone who becomes a member of the LHSA. The annual dues are $55 for USA residents. You can join online at http://lhsa.org/join.html. The LHSA VIEWFINDER is a copywritted publication. The VIEWFINDER DVD archive was produced through the volunteer efforts of LHSA board members at a cost in excess of $20K. I would hope a group of photographers would be the last to engage in the theft of copywritted intellectual property. Why not spend the $55 and join some fellow Leica photographers at the LHSA annual meeting in San Francisco October 26-30.
ben z
Mark, will I be able to play it on my DVD player that's hooked to the TV set? I don't have a DVD drive on my computer.
mark_theken
Hi Ben: I believe so but I am probably the last person you should ask :-). Seems logical to me that any DVD player should play any DVD. Best regards, Mark
johns1
Well there it is then . . . NOW we finally have the justification needed to buy our first DVD player! (Still trying to figure out why the telephone operator doesn't answer when I pick up the handset of our dial phone . . . )
jerry_lehrer
Leicaphiles, I am a member of LHSA. I did receive a Leica "Viewfinder" DVD. I do have a DVD player in my computer. I cannot seem to load the disc's content into my computer, it just spins and spins. Am I doing something wrong? Jerry
bs
In accordance with the standard troubleshooting guide in use by our I.T.Help Desk my first question would be... What happens when you double-click on the little picture of the CD in <My Computer>? Followed by the ever helpful... Is the shiny side facing down?
