davidmadsen
I searched the database and found several great posts about wedding albums, some of which I am going to try, but I am in need of a nice proof album. I would like something that looks professional (not a plastic sleeve) but is not horribly expensive. Are there proof albums that are maybe post bound or hinged that will hold 150-200 pics and cost under $100? Am I dreaming? I looked into PICtage but I don't shoot weddings every month and don't want to pay a monthly fee for something I don't need every month. Thanks in advance for not beating me to a pulp for asking this question, David
ray
Have you considered Art Leather? Opening an account with Art Leather costs nothing. Their sales rep will visit your house (for free) and show you all the available albums (again at no obligation). You can order albums online and they have several very reasonably priced albums. For example, the Ebony Art Leather Futura wedding album is well under $100 (custom made for the number of pages you need) and includes everything except your prints. There is no minimum to order and you can order 1 album a year if you want. Best of all, you can provide your occasional clients the same quality albums that they would receive from a studio doing high volume work.

sandra_henderson
David, you can get a spiral bound proofbook that can hold as many as you want under $100. It's a digital proofbook that you can order from digi-labs. I just printed off a magazine style proofbook with around 150 pictures for less than $50. Check them out at www.digi-labs.com Sandra
darrin ballman www.crossl
David - I have used Art Leather for years (their Prelude 4x6-Double), it will run about $60 plus to create an album that will hold 200 proofs. It's a ring lock system. Recently I started using the "Sheldon" 4x6 through albumsinc.com . I would reccomend requesting a catalog. The Sheldon does have a great feel to it, it's post-bound and holds 230 4x6. It costs about $40. Hope that helps...
Jenifer Selwa Photography
Tap Loomis is what I use. They are professional and inexpensive. I think their Big Bargin Proof Book, which holds 206 images and has a choice of covers, is around $30 wholesale. Check out their website: http://www.tap-usa.com/
