13thfloorelevators
hello! i just got the tokina lens and shot a roll of film to test it.... this is one auf the resulting pictures: http://www.fotografie.at/attachment.php?attachmentid=386&sid= the picture was shot with 60mm focal lenght...so is this normal with this lens or is it something with "my" lens? cheers stefan
douglas_green1
Most fast zoom lenses have some barrel or pincusion distortion. That's why I prefer primes.
kaiblanke
I have a Tokina ATX 80-200/2.8, which does not show such significant barrel distorsion - going wider with zooms results sometimes in even worse distorsion. But then 60mm is not wide and Tokina ATX lenses should be better than an average 3rd party lens. I do not have a 60-120mm lens, but in my eyes it should not show that much distorsion. tommyinca
I have a Tokina at-x 60-120/2.8. It does not have distortion as pronounce as your sample at 60mm. While it is not distortion free (few zoom are), but I would say it is no where near as bad as what your picture shown.
