I was visiting a friend in Winnipeg in 2001, and as we were touring downtown Winnipeg, the Exchange District, we stopped inside an old bank building, where that shot was taken. The shot was taken with an near-classic, either my Nikon FM2 or EM. I sent the photo at the last minute to Photo Life in April, but really didn't expect it to make it into the magazine. I had almost forgotten that I sent it, until I received a large envelope from Photo Life in July, with a copy of the magazine, a tear sheet and a very nice letter saying they had chosen my photo. I was very excited and was jumping around my living room like an idiot! All I could think was "gonna buy five copies for my mother"!!
