lesged
This thread has shown a bundle of great photos. Bravo to you all. Wish I could master a scan that would show the razor-sharp detail in the self portrait print. Looks like a 4x5 contact print. I guessed at the decade so if the collar is a 80s give-away, then it's not the 2.8D Xenotar, it's my current 3.5E Planar

lesged
This one's from a negative. Crossing fingers that skin tones come through. Film was Perutz, which I'm guessing is long gone. Great film!<div></div>

grahams
This thread has some great shots, superb quality - what is it about an image that originates on MF, when digitised (never mind printed) results in such superb tonality? You would think that the digitising process would conceal the quality of the original - there can only be so many pixels in a given file size, after all. I bet that if I took the same shot, on the same film type, with both a 35mm and a 6x6 camera, and scanned the two images on the same scanner to the same file size, the 6x6 shot would still stand out. jon_noble
And this is why we use tlr's. Many of the shots in this thread are truly immense. It also puts forward the question of why we dont have a TLR forum
