sam_portera
I did for my 50mm Summicron and it's a nice hood! But I would like to buy a cap to fit it. The seller doesn't know the size of cap I would need. Just curious if anyone else is using these hoods and what kind of cap you are using.
lee hamiel
Sam: Check at B&H - Schneider makes caps for most all diameters - I picked one up for my Mamiya 6's 150 w/hood & it's perfect - snug fit & no springs. Give me the diameter & I'll post the link back to you
robert meier
If it's from American Eagle, then I have had the same, happy experience. I have gotten a couple of hoods from them and they have been excellent.
andy m.
Me too. I am intending to measure the hood internal diameter then order a suitable generic hood to fit when I get the time. Shouldn't be a problem.
sam_portera
Yes it is from American Eagle. I don't have the means to measure it, if anyone could measure their's and post it I would appreciate it.
lee hamiel
For a press fit measure the outside diameter.
richie chishty
Yes, me too! I have also bought similar hoods from another Ebay seller named Heavystar. It is amazing how much cheaper these accessories are compared to the Leica branded items!
nemeng
I just recently bought the "Heavy2Stars" E43 vented hood for my 50-M-Lux. Another satisfied customer. Compact, screws on securely, works fine and is far less conspicuous than the "real thing" #12586 hood.
