mike_pailliotet2
After a long and dusty road trip I have noticed some dust stuck to the inside of the veiwfinder ( you.know , where you look into ) on my ttl M6.Is there any home remedy for getting it out of there? I can only see the dust when I look from a short distance , when my eye is pressed against the glass I can not detect it, so it is not that big a deal.Anyways any help would be appreceated!! Thanks, Mike.
john_collier
If the dust is just inside the eyepiece, that can be easily removed and cleaned. You will need a special tool to grip it without marring it. Your friendly local camera repair chap or chapette should have the tool or you could get one for yourself from:
http://www.micro-tools.com/
If it the dust is further into the viewfinder, then the top plate has to be removed and, due to all the electronic stuff under there, this is best left for Leica to do. Personally, if it is not too bad, I would live with it until you send it in for a regular CLA or, heaven forfend, a repair.
bernd_kunze
I had dust once inside the finder. So I stopped by at Leica in Germanyand they fixed it at no cost.
Dunno about the US though...
Bernd
