joseph_barbano Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 After the day visitors leave Machu Picchu, the ruins are deserted. Here's a sunset picture. R7 w/ 28mm on K64<div></div>
harry__florida_ Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Brings back memories from 70's. Next time, for a different perspective and an adventure, hike up the "path" to peak of Huana Picchu in the background. They would never let you do that sort of thing in U.S. ... Continuing on from there on the train to Titicaca, I was leaning out a window taking pictures when the strap broke on my M3 and away it went. I was in a state of shock/bewilderment but my girlfriend bless her had the presence of mind to fetch the conductor and stop the train. Conductor retrieved the camera, and it still worked fine though having some dents.
35mmdelux Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 bigger nylon straps are better than the leather straps. Be careful hanging your head out the train or you might get slapped by a banana tree in addition to losing your camera. Best
m_. Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 second recommedation to hike up to Huana Piccu. The view from the top is stunning.
