SF10 film not advancing

I just got an SF10 camera and put the film in as it showed me to - and

can take one picture...then it continuously blinks on the "1" and does

not advance. What on earth am I doing wrong?? What don't I understand

here??

 

I even reloaded the film, and when it did it again - I put a fresh

roll of film in and it still only goes as far as "1" and just blinks??

You might try going to www.pentaxusa.com and downloading a manual. sometimes a lens must be mounted or the film speed must be set. Maybe reading the manual will put you on the right track

Is it possible for a person to repair the problem where the film is not advancing past the #1 picture?? Is there a repair manual for this camera?

I feel like no ones out there now - but I couldn't give up, and tried reloading film using totally manual and the film advanced!! Wee...but my question now is, on manual, does the camera automatically still set the film speed?? I don't find a way on this camera to set it manually.

You may have a dead battery. Many cameras will not function properly if the battery level has dropped below a certain point. Some functions will work, but not well, or intermittently. Try with a brand new battery and see if this is still happening.
