discpad
Last month, I asked here if "Anybody use a Cirkut?" http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00FUVP ...And I received some helpful advice on what to look for, etc. Well, there's one #10 Cirkut listed on eBay here: http://tinyurl.com/qjet4 What makes this one interesting is that, among all of the hundreds of those eBay storefront drop sites... This #10 is at the one just a couple hundred yards from my home! To make a long story short, this one looks in pretty good shape, including two sets of gears. Also, I saw several prints, including one from the early 1990's from Vet Stadium, and it appeared to be pretty smooth, with no evidence of jerking. I also saw other prints from upstate Pennsylvania; but I couldn't date them, but they too looked smooth. My question: The shop owner posted a number of photos: Can anyone give me an idea of the approximate age? Also, if anyone wants me to walk over and snap photos of any parts of it and post it here, just let me know. Thanks! leonard_robertson
Dan - That is a nice clean looking #10. I see it didn't meet the reserve, so maybe it is time for you to go talk to the owner. Fate may have decided that is the Cirkut for you. If you haven't seen it yet, a panoramic forum started over on APUG: http://www.apug.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=186 You may as well learn all you can about Cirkuts, so when the right one comes along you can swoop down on it.
