wildwoodgallery
Hi, I'm thinking about getting a HP 8750 and have read about some banding problems. From what I understand the banding is from borderless prints at the end of the print. If I print 12" x 18" will there be no banding issue? I need a printer for color and b&w. Also have an Epson 1270 I do Black Only prints with Eboni Black. Thank you...Rick
constance_cook
Hi Rick: I've had my 8750 since they were released. It has never banded on any size of print borferless or bordered. I've never heard of the problem. Conni

david_baxter1
No problems here either 100% banding free with the HP8750 - now the Epsons are another matter...
rddelliott
No banding issues on my 8750 and HP support is great.
joshua daniels
Haven't seen any banding with mine. Actually, the only complaints I have are with the driver: not very accurate framing (cuts off part of image around borders when image size is close to print size; preview is not WYSWYG; confusing messages re color management when different print sizes are selected (though warnings can be safely ignored; standard paper profiles are poor (a custom is required to get accurate tones). Otherwise, a fabulous printer and highly recommended.
sladez
Rick-- I will second, third, and fourth what everyone else is saying. I have read on another forum where some people have had problems but they seem to be isolated. I have printed a ton with this printer and never once had an issue. Hope this helps. roger_smith4
What type of paper do you normally print on with your HPs?
sladez
I use HP Premium Plus Glossy 99.9% of the time--the other .1% I use Satin. I have tried many other papers and these are the best in my opinion.
wildwoodgallery
I would have guessed satin would be the most used. Rick
