jonj
Who has good engagement portfolio I can let a bride and groom look over to get some ideas. Thanks
keith_van_hulle1
Can you clarify? Are you asking to have the B&G look at work OTHER THAN YOUR OWN for ideas for an upcoming shoot?
jonj
I mostly do PJ style and want them to see all other types of wedding photography.
annealmasy
Bad idea Jonathan. Send them to the local Barnes & Noble if they want to see something artsy by another photographer. I would HIGHLY discourage you from betraying your own style by showing off other photographers' work to a client!
annealmasy
Your works' awesome, by the way. Defintely don't steer your client away from you. It can only do harm.
35mmdelux
have them log on to Deni Regie's or Mike Colon's website. They've got some great ideas...as you watch your client say bye-bye. Paul
jonj
Thanks! I'll give you the long and short of it. I do mostly news Photojournalism while I build my portfolio. I am helping this couple out for free, and unless they hold up a Protest sign or their house is on fire I don't have much in my portfolio to guide them. I have a style, but they didn't go out seeking a PJ photographer so I just want them to be happy and make sure I know what they like.
jon jacobson
Jon, you're creatively full of ideas and you don't even know it! Have them make up a big sign with SINGLE and a red circle-with-line-through-it symbol on it. Go downtown and start pushing the shutter release button. SERIOUSLY! (I think I'll do this one sometime!) You have a great style. Stick with it. If you're looking for posing techniques, remember: if it has a joint, bend it. This includes hips and neck. jonj
I love it...you and me think alike, but my family and friends already think I'm nuts if I do this I will be sent to the mental hospital....I'm still laughing about the sign I have to tell my wife she'll crack up. annealmasy
It sounds like YOU need ideas, not your client! Check out http://www.lacourphoto.com. These guys all came from newspapers and now shoot weddings. Their other brand is also terrific: http://www.thedecisivemoment.com. Good luck! jonj
Thanks, Anne this is perfect. Engagements are not talked about as much regarding a style eith PJ or Traditional. So it's nice to test the waters to see what they gravitate towards.
jonj
Jon, I love it, if you add the police in a line throwing rice you would have a winner!
