rafael_macia
Does anybody know if the 16464 focusing mount for the Visoflex reflex housing is the same for both the silver (earlier model), and the later black model? Are the focusing mounts different in any way? Do they look different in any way, outside of the color? thanks! Rafael
al_kaplan1
The knurling is different. They're the same length both extended and collapsed, and they accept the same lenses and extension tubes. You can "mix 'n match" the black ones with the chrome ones. Just don't get caught in public by some of the more fashion concious folks on this forum. On the other hand, I've never seen a chrome Visoflex...LOL
paul_chan4
"...some of the more fashion conscious folks in this forum". Yeah, one step out of line and you get all the brickbats. Bodies and lenses must be homogeneous. Film in one bag, digital in the other. Unzip the wrong bag and you get 'bang bang'. Never let your gear look different in any way (color or otherwise) when you mix with the Leica community.
rafael_macia
Thanks Al. You have answered my question. Your Visoflex knowledge is appreciated!! Rafael
al_kaplan1
Rafael, this doesn't answer the question but has some good information on the Visoflex II: http://yandr.50megs.com/leica/viso2/2.htm The OTVXO chimny finder is nice for close-ups or when using the Visoflex on a copy stand. rafael_macia
Al I agree on the straight up finder. I was doing some copy work, and shooting some small things to put on ebay. Using ehe eye level finder was a pain! Right now I am looking for an OTVXO. (The late model would be a real find!,) ... but a mint one would be Ok. And, thanks for the link! best Rafael
