larrydressler
Ok People I last cross processed film back in the 70's and it was E-3 not E-4 at that time and it was C-22 not C-41. I Love the grain and saturation of Agfa Vista 800 and wonder how it would look processed in E-4? I remember that the ASA/ISO rating was differant from the posted speed as in faster if I am not mistaken in my old and diverted mind. Would I rate this at about 1200? and hope for increased grain even knowing this is "T-grain" film?
walter_degroot
i have searched for that info several times. at personal products companym an 1979, there was someonme in the microscopy dept who did cross-processed title slides and had the info from a mr crowe at exxon in nj - that is changes in speed and color, it seemed to be worked out fairly closely. lately people just seem to be happy with " funky" results. and say " oh wow" the real photo techs are probably all dead. jbq
I seem to remember that as a rule of thumb rating at 1/4 of the original speed is a decent starting point when cross-processing either way (i.e. shooting ISO 800 at EI 200).
r.t. dowling
Are you going to process it yourself? I don't know of any labs that process E4 these days.
