mikal_grass
VS, great shot but a Leica would have automatically removed the shaded area from her face. Mike Dixon, great to see you back in action. ~Jon~ doesn't she get in the way when you want to lie down on the couch to watch tv? Some guys....... kelly_flanigan1
Here is a scan of a print I have of actress, dancer, etc, Kate Vaughan ( Catherine Candelon ) from 1883, when Kate was about 31. She repopularized "street dance" in the 1870's, the greatest dancer ever in burlesque. Note the studio was'nt a whuss like alot of folks today, and mentioned their name in quest to actually get reprints and more studio work.:) The back of the print has the London's studio address, plus 7 coats of arms, plus "<i>W&D DOWNEY Photographers by special Apppointment To her Majesty The Queen"</i><BR><BR><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y148/ektar/KATE/KATE1883.jpg"><BR><BR><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y148/ektar/KATE/KATE1883small.jpg">@ FIN
mikal_grass
Maria I was just making a reference to your earlier comment in which you stated you used a Nikon, not a Leica. Although I use Leicas, my aging eyes really cannot tell the difference between a great photo made with a Nikon or a great shot made with a Leica. Nor would I care to tell the difference. I use a Leica only because my father bought me a Leica 6 years ago, the year before he died. My days of being a lens and camera whore are long over. By the way, I have always admired your photos. Great website as well. Mikal
