tim_franklin
Just a test to see if I can get François' name to show correctly. If it works, then the solution is alt-C! ;-)
fran_ois_courtois
Films are Agfa APX 100 and Kodak Tri-x, nominal box speed, developped in Calbe A49 dilution 1+
erudolph
Fran篩s.... scanned with what?
erudolph
hmm.... Tim's alt-C (in my case option-C) seems not to have worked too well. It looked good in the preview though.
fran_ois_courtois
just use a normal c, don't worry ;-)<p>scanned with Coolscan V and Vuescan software in 16 bit gray
fran_ois_courtois
Hi, just added a few colour ones, from fuji velvia 100F
erudolph
Francois, those are nice scans. I've not had good luck scanning B&W film with Vuescan on a Nikon scanner. Are you using a particular filmtype for your film, or the "generic" film type?
fran_ois_courtois
Ed, I just use the generic profile with "white balance". NO sharpening !! Vuescan scans are always very flat and need some contrast boosting in photoshop, that's all, sometimes some masking with the history brush (to preserve highlight detail on the faces while allowing more contrast boosting on the rest of the image)
