cris_watk
I just did a retirement party and they want a really nice album for the pictures. I only need one and I have never done this before. These people are wealthy and want quality. I have no idea where to start... what is the best album out there - that will allow me to buy only one?Do I need to buy anything other than the album to make it work? What would an album of 50 pictures run? What is the going rate on something like that? Thanks for the help! Cris
david_schilling___chicago_
Try doing a P-net search on albums. Altho the clients are wealthy, once they find out how much a quality album is they might not be to keen to pay for it. An answer to all your questions could fill a small book. There is a book titled "Photographers Guide to Wedding Album: Design and Sales" by Bob Coates....it would be a good place to start.
annealmasy
Albums can range from a $100 Kolo to a $1500 Queensbury. Just do some research, find out what you like, and look at prices. We use the AsukaBook and love it. Good luck!
john at storybook pages
We also like the Asuka Book for a reasonably priced coffee-table style album. We've designed several for clients lately and they're very happy. Be glad to help. www.storybookpages.com
think27
Chris - I strongly recommend that you call Michel Company - don't have the phone number handy but look at http://www.michelcompany.com for the phone number. Here is the wonderful thing about that company. A real person answers the phone. They will answer any questions no matter how newbie... There are too many options for us to give you answers. The range of options and prices are way to broad. Michel Company can send you a catalog and answer any questions you have... Yes..You can get only one album.. Do be prepared to offer a website or some other proof that you are a photographer and not a customer though.
