neil_v.
What does it mean when the Canon CB-2LT battery charger's LED blinks alternatingred and green? I noticed this after leaving a new "NB-2LH compatible" from eBay's ACCStation inthe charger for a few hours. The documentation and Google were unhelpful. I'm not going to use my 350D to test a now-suspicious $10 battery.
peter_ehrenpreis
Neil, Here you go. 1. Plug the AC power adapter in a wall outlet. 2. Connect the AC power adapter supplied with your charger to the DC in jack. 3. "STATUS" indicator shows RED when the charger is ready and charger indicator shows flashing GREEN when waiting for battery pack. 4. Slide battery pack in the Charger and CHARGER indicator goes RED when charging. 5.CHARGE indicator shows RED and GREEN alternatively when battery pack has more than 90% charged. 6. When the battery pack is fully charged, the CHARGE indicator shows a steady green. 7. After the battery pack fully charged, slide the battery pack out. 8. Unplug DC power, CHARGE and STATUSindicators go out.
neil_v.
Thanks, Peter. Seems the charger thinks the battery is charged to at least 90% but less than 100%, even after hours of charging. This doesn't inspire confidence, but I guess one can't be too picky about a $10 rechargeable battery. I've dubbed it a last-resort backup battery, and added it to the bag. phoneguy
Neil, What brand of battery is it? If it's Sterlinktek, you could spring for the $12 charger, and make things easier. I have 5 sterlingteks, and the charger, and have had no problems. Mike
