david_benko
Help!, I just got the Nikon D200 and have a Metz 54MZ-3, but it will not fireor work on the camera shoe. What needs to be done or is there an adjustment I amnot aware of or I am overlooking? It worked fine on my Nikon F100. Thank you for your input and help, David
steve_yeatts
I doubt the MZ-3 is compatible with iTTL cameras such as the D200. I had an MZ-4 that worked fine on my F100 but did not work on my F6. I had to get an MZ-4i flash. Unfortunately, even a module upgrade won't work. Check on the Metz website for sure and to see model is compatible. Good luck. frank_skomial
Isolate all other pins except the central sync pin, in the camera shoe when the flash is inserted. Use a piece of paper or thin plastic. This way you could use your flash in manual mode, or thyristor automatic. I guess it is better to have something than nothing, but this is not the way to use it in a long run. Most of the great features of Metz 54MZ cannot be used on D200.
christopher_engeler
You need to update your adapter to SCA 3402 M6. You'll get everything except i-TTL with that.
