denisgermain
alll that matters for the internet is the pixel count.... resize to 800x600 (or whatever you need) and use BICUBIC SHARP. You may want to apply an extra USM at that point. The color space sould be sRGB and no matter what you hear... DPI does NOT matter.
christopher_wharton1
but can my iamges be "stolen"
marshall
Whatever you post can be taken. If you want to post, just downsize to 600-700 pixels max, note your copyright directly on the image somewhere ("? Christopher Wharton"), and that's what there is. denisgermain
of course.... and no matter what technique you use someone will easily steal your great ideas... the low resolution makes prints nearly impossible to print but the only real solution is to place a large (and ugly) watermark on top of the image. Anyone who wants to steal will easily take them even with a "right click disabled page" or any of these gimmicks.
Ed_Ingold
Go to Image/Image Size. Check the boxes marked "Resample" and "Proportional". In place of the larger dimension in the Pixel boxes, type in 800 (for web) or 500 (for Photo.Net). The nominal resolution will stay the same. If you uncheck the box marked "Resample" and type in 72 dpi, the "inch" dimensions will appear more normal. This dimension makes no difference in the way the file will be displayed in a browser or in Photo.Net, only the number of pixels counts. You will also need to convert to JPEG, and strip any EXIF information. Use ImageReady for this task.
lalit
Wuth CS2 I use the "save for web" method. Not sure if that's the best.
