terry_rory
Just thought I would post a 'heads-up' link to... https://secure.ffordes.com/index.htm Where they have the UK price as 2990 GB Pounds. Although this is not new news, I think there was some doubt last week aboutwhether this sum included VAT. It does. Other confirmed prices include the new D-Lux3 (490 GB pounds inc VAT) Please delete if everyone already knew this.
terry_rory
Sorry, it also lists the Digilux-3 and the V-Lux1 UK prices.
tommy_baker
Yep. sounds right. Robertwhite are advertising it for ?2,544 excluding VAT. Which clocks in at 2989.20 inclusive. 2990 UKP seems to be the standard retail price.

benny_spinoza
Except for those with money to burn, or those few professional photo-journalist types that don't shoot with SLRs (if there are any left)....why would anyone buy one? I guess the market will answer.
andrewlamb
Benny, By coincidence, this week I've met three photo-journalists who have ordered the M8. All of them said they were going to use it for work rather than personal projects.
richard hooker
You would have to be a mug to pay those prices for any of that equipment. It's almost an insult to charge that much in the first place.
mark_norton2
I'm buying two, one black, one chrome, and consider the camera fairly priced.
