xcapekey.com
Hey guys, I shot my first engagement session and wanted to know what you guys thought. It was a bit of a tough shoot, as the couple arrived late and I had about 20 mins of light before the sun went under... http://www.russroca.com/deniseandsimon/ thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions

amandalockphotography
Wow, that must have been one crazy shoot! Three outfit changes in twenty minutes? You did get a good combination of different poses though and the couple looks very happy and comfortable. Well done!
elnoralouisa
Nice. I feel sorry for you only have 20 mins. The couple looks VERY relaxed with you. The first pic, though, I would soften the background because it looks like the lighthouse is coming out of her head a bit, and might look worse when printed. Also, maybe just me, but I would prefer not to have so many pictures that are at an angle. Looks like they will be a very happy couple. xcapekey.com
yeah...it was a little hectic...i had wanted to go to two locations, but had to scrap that...basically ran out of the car and started firing away....
photographydreams
this is just me, but i prefer to look at low res shots, than ones that have an obvious watermark over the middle - i find it really distracting. Really good shots though! THey look like they had lots of fun.
wedding-photography-denver
Great work there Russ. You would likely benefit from some Post work on a few and dropping the huge PROOF mark (totally annoying to customers). Although I long for couple's who have so much fun while I'm shooting, I try to encourage some somber/pouty looks and some just plain relaxed shots too. I think it adds flavor to the whole thing. Another thing may be to use more of the environment for effect. I mean that you can get some really nice work when the surrondings are used to augment the shot. This part is a little more tricky met thinks, but worth pursuing. All in all, if this is your first, GREAT JOB.
xcapekey.com
david, i had planned a few more dramatic shots, but given such the thin window of time, i went for the happy smilies, thinking that's what they would be expecting.... i think the next time around i'll definitely alternate to some more somber/pensive looks
