anton_bredell
I have a few JPEG photos (best quality) on which I need to do some editing in photoshop. I know there will be some quality loss when resaving them as jpeg. Can I considder doing this when I want to print them on a home printer? Any suggestions? don_cooper
You could resave them as TIF's, then there won't be any loss.
rich815
Save them as a TIFF before you work on them, then each succesive save will not "degrade" the image. Though you really have to do a lot of re-saves to make any difference, unless you purposely lower the grade level of the JPEG save. If you do some simple editiing and re-save at 10 or above you will not see any difference I think.
anton_bredell
Can I also resave as PSD instead of TIFF without any loss? Thanks for the replies.
esteve
Yes, PSD is a lossless format. Also, using it, you'll be able to keep your layers and other PS specific information that is lost when saving to TIFF. Use TIFF (or JPEG) to store your files once done and you're sure you won't need further work on PS.

Regards,
Esteve
