dennis_couvillion
There is currently a photographic exhibit at the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA), "Katrina Exposed: A community of Photographs" which runs through September 3, 2006. The exhibit is accompanied by a catalogue of 150 Katrina photographs taken by amateur and professional photographers alike (Magnum is represented, for example.) The book is highly recommended. It sells for $24.95 plus shipping and can be obtained from the NOMA museum store. http://noma.org/katrina.html Please note that although I have two pictures in the book I get nothing from the proceeds, which go entirely to NOMA. Thanks. Dennis

christopher_a._junker1
Glad to see that Dennis has images in the book. His postings here were some of the best published anywhere on the Katrina aftermath.
dennis_couvillion
Thank you, Christopher, but please don't consider purchasing the book because of my images which, in my opinion, are not among the strongest in the catalogue. There are many powerful pictures in the book and it's worth the $24.95. I'm just happy to have been included. Thanks again to all. Dennis
eliot_rosen1
Dennis, congratulations about having two pictures in the book. It's an achievement you can be proud of. (I know, a preposition is a bad thing to end a sentence with. :-))
al_kaplan1
Dennis, it indeed is an honor of which you can be proud. Congratulations.
dennis_couvillion
And all of these nice comments I am thankful for... although Katrina is an episode I've had my fill of. Believe me, it's something we're all tired of. I can't wait to find a lighter subject matter to point my camera at. ;>)
michael s.
I'm glad your photos were included, Dennis. They belong. And I hope the book circulates widely and helps the Museum.

dennis_couvillion
P*ss off, Michael... Bob knows what he speaks of. (I'm starting to like this preposition at the end style.) ;>) Honestly, the book is worth a look. My stuff happens to be in it but is far from the best work.
