pico_digoliardi
Serendipity! I was getting ready for a long field trip and puzzling out how to best store a 210mm Super-Angulon. Later I went to a paint store (household things to do) and voila! There were brand new, empty, coated paint cans of all sizes! A large can just fits the 210mm wrapped in a small towel with a couple silca-gel bags, and it has a handle! I know it's odd, but so perfect. "Look at that old guy with the tripod and a can of paint. Is he some kind of geriatric graffiti artist?"

nickc1
I only do Black and White in LF, but I can't find any tins for black and white paint anywhere, they are all either one or the other :-)
User_503771
The black and white comes in "swirl" only. High contrast. No shades of grey, but black and white. When I see it, I want to eat it. (Not so tasty, but looks great on the wall....)
darcy_cote
Wouldn't be my choice but to each his own
andre_noble4
I might opt for a new empty paint can, but not a used one with dried or soft paint residue still inside. You have to be careful of the environment you store lenses in due to possible fungus sourse issues long down the road, I feel. Yeah, I could see storing two lenses in a new empty paint can, and maybe dripping paint on the outside, etc. Not a bad idea.
Gary Naka
Just make sure you have a screwdriver or paint can opener. It's pretty hard to open a paint can with a quarter.
William Kahn
So....if you end up with a color cast to your negatives, can you blame the paint can?
