marcin_arciuch
Hi,The control dial on my eos 5 broke last weeend. I browsed these forums and found a lot of helpful info on how to fix it myself. However there is a twist to my problem (and i'm sure somebody here knows the answer :)). Since my dial spins freely and it broke down without turning the camera on, i can't get the flash to pop-up -- underneath it is hidden the last screw i need to remove to take the top off and get to the dial. I'm pretty sure forcing it open will just break the mechanism, so I've tried everything else, even pressing buttons in different sequences, thinking maybe there's a pre-programmed sequence to release the flash :-)) -- to no avail. I know the answer is out there (service techs have to be able to do it somehow, right?) and hopefully one of you guys have it. Pleeeaaase heeeeelllllp. <p> Marcin Arciuch
