holly_j
I jusht bought a FujiFilm FinePix S2 Pro and it has been working great. But I just recently put it on my tripod and turned on the auto-timer and i clicked the shutter and waited for the picture to be taken. When I went back over, the info screen on the top read "Err" and the picture was not recorded and now that happens everytime I try to take a picture and so.. I can't take pictures with that camera anymore. Any suggestions?
k_michael
That's a three hundred dollar repair if it's out of warranty. The same thing happened on mine. Send it back to Fuji. Any one else wh attempts to fix this camera wil not do it correctly. I found out the hard way.

armando_rosario
Before the heart attack, check your lens. I believe its the D series lenses that need to be set to all the way open. I get this "err" alot, and then look down to see that Ive rotated the appature.

holly_j
-kills self- i had it working for one picture and now it is doing it again. I have the apature on 4.0....
greg s
Sounds like you need a 2nd lens to isolate if problem is with lens or camera body. It may be a contact problem (electrical contact at lens mount).
Jon Eckman
I'd try changing both sets of batteries just to be sure they're fresh. Jon Eckman
wickedmartini
Agreed... Before anybody talks you into having a heartattack I would first check the following: Batteries, Lens settings (Aperture) and last but not least... The manual. Descriptions for all S2 error messages are in back. I'll attach a copy of the manual for you just in case you do not have it available to you. armando_rosario
Hmm... Im assuming 4.0 is largest apature. I would agree you might want to borrow someone elses lens to test that theory. I doubt its the batteries, it should auto turn off, or give you that blinking battery symbol if it was too weak, and I dont use the lithium batteries at all (empty compartment) and have no problems with that.
