luisarguelles
Last week I asked a quotation to a known Rolleiflex dealer in Dusseldorf for a Rolleiflex leather strap (new). I was shocked to know they asked (includding s/h) 120 Euros for a simple strap. Does anyone know a cheaper alternative?
patric_dahl_n
That auction site beginning with "e". :)
phong
Hello Luis, Op/Tech makes straps for Rolleiflex, among others. They go for about $20-$25 USD. Not sure if you can get them around where you are. I am almost certain B&H has them. - Phong
rich815
B&H has them for $19.95 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=118283&is=REG Someone on eBay is selling the same thing for $29.95.
derek_stanton2
Luis, I have the OpTech strap with interchangeable connectors. If you are 'into leather' though, you might want to look at Luigi Crecenzi's TLR strap - www.leicatime.com - "MY CASES LINE" > near the bottom of the page. luisarguelles
Thank you all for the suggestions. Comparatively, these are really bargain prices!
streetlevel
I found that the Domke Gripper's strap fits in the "scissor" type bracket on the camera pretty well... so that's what I've been using.
mskovacs
I took a broken leather scissor strap I bought with a WTB ad here, removed the metal hardware by drilling out the rivets and re-riveted them on a Mamiya RB67 strap I got for free out of the camera store junk bin. That is, if you have a camera that has the scissor type connections. (mid fifties or later)
bacsa
do you really need a special strap for your rollei? Mine has a noname ribbon-type synthetic strap. Probably originating from a cheap camera. It is fully functional and completely safe. Looks discrete too (thin, black, no inscriptions).
