errol
I use a 2 GB pq1 card in my D70s and it works very well. Tried the same card inmy D70 and it shows -E-? What gives? Errol
paul_sokal___dallas__tx
Did you reformat it in the D70?
aaron_lee___minneapolis__m
I wonder if the D70 can use FAT32 or allows 2GB card - or only FAT16. Yes, you should reformat the card, if possible.
ShunCheung
I would try reformatting in the camera first. If that doesn't work, try to force a full rather than quick format on a computer. The D70 and D70s are essentially the same camera and you shouldn't see any difference. Even FAT16 is sufficient to address 2G cards. 4G would require FAT32. However, even my D100 can address a full 4G CF card.
errol
Tried formating in the camera but it reads -E- so it does not see the card. Errol
anthony_bez
Errol, As Shun has advised, Format the card on your PC. Full format not quick format.
mawz
Are you running the latest D70 firmware? With the latest D70 firmware, anything that works in the D70s should work in the D70.
errol
firmware is up to date. I formated 32 it took a long time and no luck. I am now fomating 16 and will try again. Still takes a long time for the computer to do. Errol
