Canon MT-24 EX on Sigma 105mm Macro lens

The Canon MT-24 EX in combination with a 430 EX as slave flash to light the

background seems like a good solution for me for macro work. I have a Sigma EM

140 DG light now but I would realy like some more controle over the

positioning of the flashlight. More flexible.

 

I currently own a Sigma 105 macro lens and I realy like it. My question is:

Can I mount the MT-24 EX lens on there? The EM 140 DG I could mount on this

lens with an adaptor ring but I'm no sure that this is possible with the Canon

MT-24. Can anybody help me with this or do I have to buy a Canon macro lens to

use there twinlight flash?

Presumably you are aware that you can use your Sigma 140DG as a master for a 430EX.

Thank you very much for your answer. This was what I was looking for. And no...I did not know that the 430 cloud be used ase a slave unit with the sigma 140.

Time to re-read your flash manuals! p.28 in the Sigma one:

The wireless system is also compatible with Canon E-TTL slaves...

...and of course, there is no reason not to use the 140 DG not actually mounted on the lens, to give you some different lighting angles.
