molitor
The ultra II is faster. I have both cards and the difference in performance is quite noticeable in the DS. I would definately go for the ultra II.
sl attanapola
The ultra 2 is faster. However some of them have problems. My one bit the dust in just over a year! Some of the Japanese made cards seem to have less problems(Sandisk are made in China usually) according to some people but I cannot confirm this! Have you tried Lexar? They are pretty good too! rod_dinkins
Well determined it has to do with write speed of the cards. Next question is what is the performance of these two cards with the Pentax *IST DS. *IST Buffer speed ? Is it worth the additional cost
karl1664877901
I just got my Kingston 512mb Elite Pro Card (around 60x write speed) in the mail. Before that I bought a standard Viking 512mb card. The Kingston card is FAST, and the battery drain is supposed to be lower with the higher write speed. I took 142 jpegs on Sunday at full resolution with the Kingston card. I never had to change the batteries!
