nick_breedlove1
Hi All, I'd like to get your thoughts on the first engagement pic I shot today. I can't stand the sunlight on the shoulder of the guy, should've fixed that while shooting, but oh well. Thanks in advancem Nick

digitmstr
The sunlight on the shoulder should have been the same reasding as the background, no? Was the background in the shade? To avoid that problem I take an incident reading of the ambient light (in this case the sun) and then use the camera in M mode; that way I can precisely control the ratio of natural/flash light and avoid hot spots. alexdi
Honestly? The lighting is flat and the subjects too dark. A levels mask to fix that latter point improves the photo a great deal. DI
jbs
A different crop, bring up contrast and take out the blown skin tones IMHO.<div></div>
chris_newkumet
nice... next time try having the guy put his right hand in his trouser pocket... same hand placement for the lady... and, yeah, watch for hot spots...
mike_thompson4
Chris, You wrote,"next time try having the guy put his right hand in his trouser pocket... same hand placement for the lady... " You meant," as in the picture.", right, not in his trouser pocket?
