darcy_cote
Anybody have an idea for a viewfinder for a homebuilt 6x17? I have built a 6x17 and I have used a door peep hole for the viewfinder but I would like to use something a little more fancy. Are there any viewers I could use from other cameras even something with a zoom if I use my 210mm lens? Darcy
paul.droluk
Fotoman Camera manufactures the finder you are looking for. 617 format for lenses from 180-400mm. There are two additional 617 finders 72-90 and 90-180. Fotoman Camera also manufactures finders for 6x12 format (47-90, 90-180 and 180-400) as well as 4x5 format (58-150 and 90-210). All of the finders are the same price at 195 US$.
ian_gordon_bilson
Darcy - I built my own panocam, and picked up one of those wideangle converter lenses , usually sold for use on videocams, cheap at an online auction. It has a huge angle of view , which I masked down to suit. Check one out at a shop to see if it suits. -Ian.
