thomas_watkins1
Has anyone been to this particular slot canyon? Need info for a 4 day north rim Grand Canyon trip at the end of the month. I would like personal experiences only! (Please do not refer me to www.americansouthwest.net or www.gorp.away.com or www.Phototraveler.com (my guide is already on it's way) Thanks. linda_vesci1
Sorry, I didn't visit Water Holes, but I did stop by the entrance area in May. The entrance point wasn't manned. You have to obtain your permit at Antelope Canyon, and they will tell you how to get in. I checked at Antelope Canyon about the permits, but didn't end up having time to do Water Holes and just visted Antelope. Water Holes is fairly close to Antelope. What do you want to know about the North Rim? Linda
dmanthree
I visited Waterholes, and it's a good alternative to Antelope, but not as spectacular. It's bigger, and you can follow it right down to the river, if your adventerous. This is a shot from inside Waterholes from 2003: <img src ="http://c-24-147-168-196.hsd1.ma.comcast.net/Travels/Southwest-03/images/waterholes-06.jpg">
