f._schall
Which would be the sharpest and best lenses for use with the Rollei 6008i system ??? If you could only carry 2 lenses for this Rollei... ....which lenses would they be? Need experienced users who have used both the Zeiss and the Schneiders Like to find the sharpest lens in the 40mm category and the sharpest ones in the 80mm to 90mm category..... michael_reichmann
I would say without a doubt that the Schneider Apo-Symmar f/4 90mm Macro is one of the sharpest lenses ever made -- for this or any other camera. I'd heard a lot of praise for this legendary lens before buying it last year, and can confirm its excellence.
I also have the Schneider Super-Angulon f/3.5. It is faster, smaller and lighter than the Distagon and also has an auto-adjusting floating element, rather than the less convenient manual method of the Zeiss lens.
Hope this helps.
Michael
_____
Dear Frank
You may want to consider the Schneider 80mm/f2; super-fast and sharp with great colour rendering. And also the Schneider 40mm/f3.5. Expensive optics but well worth the expense.
If I could carry carry only two lenses, I would very likely carry the Schneider 180mm/f2.8 Xenotar and the 40mm/f3.5 because it suits my kind of photography....Razzy
s._weber
My choice would be the 80 Schneider Xenotar PQ F/2 for speed, extreme sharpness and contrast AND the 150 Schneider 150 f/4 PQS for people and nature shooting. It is a phenomenal optic that renders superb color and contrast without being very large or heavy (like the 180). Good shooting!
