jdrose
Hello, I am not sure what this spider is carrying; she scurried across mu workbench this afternoon packing this soccer ball looking package. I don't think I've seen this before. Perhaps a work-in-process egg sack? Since you are here, what 1:1 Macro lense in the Nikon mount would you recommend for a DSLR with a APS sized sensor? Thanks ;-)<div></div>
dave wyman
Interesting photo, it does indeed appear to be an egg sack. Any Nikon macro lens will serve you well. I happen to like reversing one of my old 50mm optics when I want to go 1:1.
mlfly1
Definitely an egg sack. For a lens, I highly recommend a Sigma 150 macro. I have owned a Nikkor 105 f2.8 MF in the past and it is excellent as well. IMO, any macro lens will work - spend the money on lights.<div></div>
vivek iyer
Looks like the new 70/2.8 Sigma lens could be a price effective choice.
lornamarie
Brilliant photo, love the details and the spider, it looks like an egg sack. I've not seen anything like that before.
