mazza
Hello, I was wondering how you can make realistic scratches to a digital photo in PS CS. Ive seen some people manage this really well, but I have no clue of what the technique can be or how to do it myself. Ive only done this with MF negatives which I think turned out pretty good. So if anybody know's, please let me know. OH! An idea just popped up just now that I wrote this. Ofcourse It can be done if I shoot a 100% underexposed film neg, scratch it, scan it and then make that a seperat layer above my digital file, anyone tried this? I would still like to know how to do it in photoshop though without the idea I just wrote, I dont have a scanner at the moment. Thanks for any help. keith_bogle
Digieffects.com has an aged film filter. Not sure of the cost. CreativeMac has a tutorial that may help. http://www.creativemac.com/2002/08_aug/tutorials/pssepia020814.htm -k
EricM
don't use a 100% under exposed neg. but try shooting a full frame grey card instead with correct, or a few bracketed shots.
