pete_gregar1
I would look up some simple thigs that most people already know. Are there any dedicated forums or FAQ's for hasselblad? Questions like 500c vs 500cm Different versions of lenses? Which bodies? Film backs that work with specific cameras.
dougfromtumwater
Hi Pete Besides the photo.net search function, the closest thing that comes to a Hasselblad FAQ is the HUG user group archives: http://www.kelvin.net/hasselblad/hassy.htm It's a little primitive in terms of software with no search engine but there are some real gems of knowledge in there if you have the time. esben_jensen
you might want to look at this: http://medfmt.8k.com/mf/hassylens.html
tarashnat
Pete, Richard Nordin's The Hasselblad System Compendium is a good resource for this kind of information. The current version covers equipment up to 1998, but I believe an upgraded edition is in the works. There is nothing comprehensive on the web, but some sites describe the history of the camera, some shops list the newest versions of the lenses. You need to search quite a bit to find the information you are looking for. Taras

pete_gregar1
I think I might do so... I just wasn't sure if there was a dedicated hasselblad forum..
q.g._de_bakker
Pete,<br><br>The two major Hasselblad-only groups are the HUG (already mentioned) and <a href="http://www.hasselbladinfo.com/discus/">www.hasselbladinfo.com</a>.<br>The HUG is a mailing list, with archives, while Hasselbladinfo is a webforum.<br>Doing a search on Photo.net will unearth many things that might answer some of your questions. But if not, just ask (here, there, everywhere... ;-) ).
