Yet another Online proofing question...

I've been asked to take some informal pictures at a 90th birthday

party next month. The person who is asking also requested online

proofing since the family is from all over the US. She was hoping

to generate some reprint sales for me while I'm doing a favor for

her.

I'm reluctant to sign up for online proofing as everything I've

looked at requires a 1 year membership at $xx/month. I am in no way

able to support this cost with what little I am doing right now.

Believe me, I hope to get to that point someday, but I'm not there

now and won't be in the near future. Also - I don't have a website,

so I can't use that tool either.

Does anyone here know of an online proofing company that I could use

for a one-time shot? I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

PhotoReflect is totally free, non-committal with unlimited storage space. You make up

custom packages and set the retail prices and they take about an 18% cut of gross sales

and send you the balance.

If they had better Mac friendly software I'd still use them.

One of the things I forgot to mention I liked most about PhotoReflect was that you had the

option of filling the order yourself -- either through your regular lab or self-printing. Most

other online companies require you to use their printing services.

Andrea,

I think QuickAlbums.com will be perfect for you. They do not require a contract, you pay month to month, and you can stop anytime you want. Good thing is that they also include a free domain and a free basic website, so you can get the whole deal for only $25.

Since they also have 30 day money back guarantee, you will not lose anything if you try them.

As you said there are many other options but most of them requires a 1 year membership or a 1 year contract.

Another good thing is that you have the option to be in charge of fulfilling or not. So you can always fulfill your print orders at costco or cvs, or anywhere you want. Or you can use a Partner Print Lab from Quickalbums, I think they are working with Miller's Lab now.

A second option will be morephotos, but I dont know if they have a contract or not.

Hope this helps.
